Super metal steel is the most recycled metal product in the world

Great infographic on steel today here. Don't take steel for granted. It is at the core of the new urban densification paradigms in cities like Vancouver.  While 80% of steel products are recycled, iron ore mining is needed to keep up with the new demand from countries that are building infrastructure. The developing countries of China, Mexico and Turkey together consume 7.5 times the steel that the United States does. In fact the United States and other developed countries provide large amounts of scrap metal to these countries to meet their needs. This is a great illustration of the fact that metal mined in one place is available to all people on earth for all time.
